Derby City Comic Con Draws Celebrities and Fans
The seventh annual Derby City Comic Con gathers Oct. 28-29 in East Hall A-B, Rooms 1-4 of the Kentucky Exposition Center.
The event brings together sci-fi and comic book fans, artists, creators and special guests, including comic legend Jim Steranko, Kel Mitchell from “All That,” Ingvild Deila from “Star Wars Rogue One,” and Tim Rozon of “Wynonna Earp”. In addition to shopping over 125 booths filled with comics, toys and merchandise, collectors also get the opportunity to meet the masters behind favorites such as: “The Incredible Hulk,” “Spider-Man,” “The X-Files,” “Lego Bionicle,” “Aqua Teen Hunger” and more.
Panels will discuss trends in comics and topics of interest to fans of the art and industry.

Saturday, Oct. 28 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Sunday, Oct. 29 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Doors open one hour early for VIP ticket holders.

The convention is family friendly and includes a kids corner with activities and games. There is a free costume contest for children Saturday at 1 p.m., with a contest for adults following at 2 p.m.
Tickets will be available at the door: $20 per day or $30 for the weekend. VIP tickets will not be available at the door. Children aged 10 and under are free with paid parent or guardian.
