5 Days of Thanks: Sheep Exhibitors

After another successful North American International Livestock Exposition (NAILE), we want to thank all of our exhibitors who make NAILE great. The show wouldn’t be anything without you, your family and your animals.  On the final day of our five days of thanks, we want to highlight the sheep exhibitors. Here are a few of the faces from this year’s expo.

Anderson’s First Trip to International Livestock Expo

Mikara Anderson, 17, of Three Springs, Pennsylvania, braces her Hampshire lamb before entering the show ring to compete for Senior Champion Ewe at the North American International Livestock Exposition (NAILE). This is Anderson’s first year attending NAILE, and the Expo is much larger than she expected it would be.

Starting The Tradition Young

Delaney Crouch, 3, of Maroa, Illonois is the daughter of Jeremy and Cassie Crouch. Crouch holds her Dorset lamb, Pearl, as she prepares to enter the ring in the Slick Fall Ewe Lamb class. This is Crouch’s first time exhibiting at the North American International Livestock Exposition (NAILE).

Clean Sweep at International Livestock Expo for Lovett

Elizabeth Lovett, 18, of Parker City, Indiana, is pictured with her three Shetland sheep that were selected Grand Champion Shetland Ewe, Reserve Champion Shetland Ewe and Grand Champion Shetland Ram. Lovett plans to keep the family farm running. This is her 10th year attending the North American International Livestock Exposition (NAILE).

First Trip to International Livestock Expo Pays Off

Luke Bultemeier, 4, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, braces for a photo at the backdrop with his Shetland Ram that was selected Second Spring Ram, Reserve Champion Ram and Best Fleece. Bultemeier’s mother, Traci, said this is their first year attending the North American International Livestock Exposition (NAILE) and it has been going smoothly.

Klug Travels to International Livestock Expo for Tenth Time

Dylan Klug, 16, of Grafton, Wisconsin, braces his lamb before heading into the show ring at the North American International Livestock Exposition. Klug’s family has been in the sheep industry, specifically the Hampshire and Southdown breeds, since 1972. This is Klug’s 10th year attending the exposition.

Livestock Fashion Statement

 Shyla Crouch, 8, of Eureka, Illinois, presents her Dorset lamb in the Lead Line Competition at the North American International Livestock Exposition (NAILE). Her red wool coat was a crowd favorite. This is Crouch’s third year attending NAILE.
